Is there any method to find out who has the highest rep power?
Thanks in advance.

Click the community tab, then select members list. Then click search -advanced search - Right at the bottom select reputation and descending order.
It changes between Ant, Thomas and Calum all the time. Right now it's Ant.

Speaking of Rep, what is rep for? Is there a specific purpose? srry if I'm going off topic

Unless they sign their rep then you won't know.

Its unusual to get -rep for posting in an old thread. Usually what happens is a mild comment from a mod in the thread which then gets locked. Its really easy to do this if you only checked the post immediately before the one that you reply to, we all get caught out occasionally.
If you receive -rep and you think its unfair you can appeal it my sending a pm to either of the admin users. If they agree its unfair they will cancel the -rep.
