Why the hell is Sony blocking everything in America

I ran into like 10 videos on youtube today that were blocked in America by sony. Even a rick roll was blocked. What the fuck?

Just another big company being butt hurt and thinking that by blocking existing content it will discourage new uploads.
(Though in reality, it encourages new uploads, to recover the blocked content)
Give it time, their blocking spree will slow down, and you won't notice it anymore.
