Hey, I was here about 2 years ago, was in a nasty and dark place and needed this forum to release some issues to people who I wouldnt have to contact again, Just got a random email stating I got a PM so i thought i'd check it out, Anyway I thought i'd drop in and say I don't SH anymore, I found life quite enjoyable when you drop the fact you have come to terms with your own morality and think there is actually nothing out there but darkness and emptiness, sure every now and again I have issues that arise that piss me off but I grew up, became an adult and dealt with it. Its not that hard to deal with if you put your mind to it, Take it out of the darkness and step into the world and show others your not weak and need to rely on foolish actions to get you from day to day. I understand what alot of you went through and it is a fix to your problems but they dont go away, you just distract yourself and others towards your injuries and not the actual problems, Its a vicious subconcious cry for help. Im just randomly ranting and I dont wish anyone to take it into offence, as some people have issues undealable and they lie 6feet under.
peace out. xist

well he is implying not purposefull that people who SI are immature... he says he matured also implies that we are weak with our actions. he says shw the world we are not weak with our foolish actions, i agree with the last part... but if people just skim read and really dont take a lot on the meaning and what he means or aren't gettig fully what he is saying they'll take it into offense, people interpret eveyrthing differently

TY for your replies, I don't think im a great mental helper, But I have put my skills into physical medical help.
Im here to try iron out my imperfections as a mental helper and increase my skills as an aider to the needy, Alot of people who come out of intense trauma if they do survive in Iraq, are scarred mentally.
To me, foreigners were aliens, I never used to associate normal day stuff and feelings with them, like they didnt feel them (not racist) I just couldn't visualise being them, and understanding they have exactly the same thoughts and feelings as me, and when I went to Iraq and seen they devastation the civilians and combanatns go through, I was shocked, I literally couldnt breathe, and when you look deep into their eyes you see they dont just need medical help, they need that further step, and for the life of me I want to help them.

But Self injury is immature and foolish.
People do interpret everything differently, though in line with that you could make that some post for nearly every single thread out there..

Yeah, saying "get better" makes it sound like it's a sickness or disease.. It really isn't, it's a choice.

Is there really much of a choice when you're depressed?Your mind is not completely clear.

There is always a choice. There are way more productive things you can do when depressed that don't include purposefully injuring yourself. And ever if your mind isn't completely clear you're still making the decision to cut yourself.
