Interpretation of Smile

It is a well known fact that smile is contagious.
I have noticed that in the rural areas if you smile, you are regarded as a friendly person. But in urban areas, if you smile at strangers, you are given a look that will make you feel guilty. Especially if you smile at a boy, he thinks that you are falling for him. Why don't they understand that it is just a casual smile which comes naturally to some.

People didn't smile in pictures because they took so long to take and you couldn't move or it'd mess up the picture.

Smiling is awesome! I always smile at strangers when ever I walk past :-) and I don't think someone falling for me just 'cause the girl smiles at me.. lol I think that's dumb :P

Any actions that might be considered weird by the general societyshould not be done.
I can see why continuous laughing can be perceived as strange.

If you don't want people to make such judgments about you just don't smile.

I'd assume that in rural areas, you statistically have a higher probability of knowing who it is you're smiling to or know someone who knows them (i.e. friend of a friend). In rural areas, people tend to be more open and less stressed. In urban areas, people are more focused on work and smiling is done either when you recognize someone or when you want to appear friendly for a business reason (i.e. salesmen don't look grouchy, they look happy and smile to be inviting). In other words, the contexts of each area is different. In urban areas, you're busy more often interacting with others so smiling gets reserved for a different reason.

Not always.

If a girl never smiles and is always depressed but smiles and is happier around you then that's a pretty good hint that they like you. But if they're always like that then no, that person is blinded with stupidity.
