I keep having these dreams, they all start off likee any other dream, but no matter what it is, they all end with flashbacks of the abuse, him, lying on top of me, i had one the other night, i was at school and the next thing i was locked up in a room with him and he raped me, then i wake up. Sweatingg etc.

It happening every night now, it takes me ages to get to sleep cause its all i think about, then i get woke up by it, had enough of it now, just dont know how to make it stop..

Hey,dude i had a problem with recurring dreams related to abuse ive gone through, and i was referred to a therapist,i'll be honest,i hated what she had to say, because its too vague a thing to just do,but anyway-let it out.

I found thinking about my dreams and then screaming and growling when i felt the fear they instilled, even crying.
Its best to get all the bad stuff out of the way,i.e cry, scream, shout (all when youre on your own as it may make you feel like youre more actively dealing with it on your own)
Also, write down what happens in your dreams and just read it to yourself, write down what it makes you feel, and read it to yourself, its a scary prospect but tackle it head on,or it WILL spiral out of control and consume you with fear.
Thats what nobody wants.

Im here if you would like to talk,or PM me.
Any questions-im right here.

lucid dreaming helps... you can control what you are doing in the dream. also contorl what happens.. . research on lucid dreaming.. .if you need help with it PM me and i can help.. as far as why you are dreaming those dreams is well probably based on the tramatic experience.. i woud therefore suggest seeing a counsler or psycologist to tlak about it.

Yeah but how would one get into the state of lucid dreaming?
Is it even controllable?

night terrors are the worst and im so sorry that you experience that. this also could be a sign of post traumatic stress which is caused by a traumatic event which triggers flashbacks and leaves you as you described. same thing happened to me after i was mugged at school in the bathroom. if you want someone to talk to im here as always i hope this helps. these dreams will let up in due time
