I wrote a huge wall of text but decided no one would read it and I'm condensing it to this. I have two "friends" who constantly belittle people and act like they are better than anyone else. They will make fun of me (and other people) until we just get mad and yell at them and they get some kind of pleasure out of it. I try to hold it in but after they do it for so long it just gets the best of me. If I leave the situation I'll come back and just be called a pussy by them and if I defend myself they just laugh. Should I even bother trying to be friends with these people anymore if all they do is belittle me and others? If I should, how should I try to get through it because ignoring it or leaving the situation doesnt work at all and they just want me to confront them so that can't be right. Just curious what I should do (in your opinions)

Throughout your life you will meet people like your 'friends' who will always belittle others around them to make them feel better about themselves.

My advice is if they continues teasing you/picking on you, they are not your friends and it's better for your confidence that you find people who can accept the person you are.

Be strong. :)

Four options.

1. Be so unconditionally nice and kind that they don't know what to do.

2. Ruin them.

3. Leave them.

4. Do nothing.

i had "friends" like that once...

i left them and went over to the "we were nerds before being nerds was cool" table (BTW this happened mostly at lunch...)

I can safely say that i regret nothing :) If you need to, leave your current group and you can make new friends.
