sometimes while i'm in bed trying to go to sleep or i'm in deep thought i get a random falling feeling. kinda often to be honest, and afterwards my heartbeats extremely fast and it feels like ive lost my center of gravity. (literally)

I get that every now and then. Just when I'm falling asleep I have this falling feeling and I usually hit something or stop suddenly and I'm jolted awake.

It's completely normal. It's called a Hypnic Jerk, I'm fairly sure it's due to the fact that the when you're falling asleep your muscles relax and stop moving, making your brain think it's falling making all your muscles spasm, similar to the manner in which you would if you were actually falling. It is also followed with temporary raised heartbeat and disorientation.
Completely normal, had one last night as it were :)
