I'm just curious, If you did ask/tell your parents you wanted birth control, what did you say, what did they say?
I started birthcontrol when I was 15 and didn't tell my parents, I did that for 6 months but then I was tired of paying for it.
So I didn't have a boyfriend at the time, and I was living with my dad so I just told him I wanted to go on birth control not for any specific reason but to be prepared.
It went fine and he has never been awkward about giving me money for it or me talking about it.

I've never had this problem personally. (thanks to the NHS and schools). But i would be straight up to my parents, and honestly i think they would prefer that. I doubt they'd care about me having sex, more about me knowing that i should practice it safely, and wanting to.

The internet is the best way to learn birth-control methods without the biased statements parents could give.

I never want to take it for health reasons but my mum has offered to take me to the doctors for it.

I told my mom I wanted birth control because it makes your skin really healthy (I dont know why but it does) and she was alright with it

Well, you could say you need to get on the pill to regulate your period. (Even if that's not the real reason.) That's why I was originally put on it..they were very irregular and heavy when I did get them, so my mom put me on the pill when I was 13. And now I have a serious boyfriend so it all worked out.

My mom asked me to go on it when I first started dating my first boyfriend. "For my skin"

IF you are going to be having sex against your parents wishes, yous hould think about it first. But in the end, its better to have you on the pill and having sex they dont want you to have then it would be to get pregnant.
