Still getting the server maintenance page

I'm posting this on behalf of Aaron (Desolation) who has been unable to get onto the forums today, he's still getting the "Virtual Teen forums are down for server maintenance" page.

He's tried clearing his cache, deleting all cookies etc and also tried with more than one browser.

Anyone got any ideas or heard of anyone else with the same problem?

hmmm, i'm not sure. but i found out for 3 hours at least after the site was back up, i was still getting that messege too and so was declan which i found interesting. then i was out and came home and it was working about an hour ago when i came back online. weird indeed.

It has something to do with the website recognizing your IP address. It worked for me once I disconnected and reconnected to my router. See if that works.

Amanda (prettyxugly) was also down as well, I think it depends on the region your in.

When a website moves servers it can take a day or so for the change to propagate around the internet. During this period some users will be seeing the new server while others will continue to see the site on the old one.

hmmm, it seems it takes between 3 and 7 hours to reach here. thats good to know.
