Red Hots have been around since 1983, Elton John has been around since 1969, Billy Joel has been around since 1971, and Billy Idol has been around since 1982. They so totally aren't classic rock (to your standards anyway).

Being born in '94, they were classics for me too. It's a shame that the older artists aren't being appreciated as much any more as they were a long time ago.

They're considered that now, but they weren't 20-30 years ago because they were rock back then. I still thinking that if you were originally considered a rock group, you are forever a rock group and there is no exceptions.

None of these Artists started out as rock groups. Billy Joel and Idol did blues, Elton was still Pop and Red Hots where originally supposed to be a R&B funk group.
