What do you think will humans accomplish or discover in the future.

Television, computers, holographic creations were never thought about in the past. What are your expectations about how society will perceive current skeptical ideas in the future?

Some examples includes Etheric and Astral Projections, The existence of God, Psychic abilities and other similar circumstances.

Don't limit your responses to the standard understanding society currently accept, abstract ideas are allowed.

What do I think we will discover in the future?
Well, I am not sure, but some of them are cliche and such. I.E., aliens, new minerals on other planets, and other Earth like planets. We could possibly even reach a speed close to that of light. Micro technology will probably be important and I can't think of anything else, really.

About the aliens, i think that by now if there was an advanced species out there, they would have found us by now.

Just because they haven't landed by the White House or something doesn't mean there aren't anything. It would be kind of hard to communicate with a distant species with a completely different language.

I think there will be new pharmacological agents with fewer side-effects and more efficiency; more knowledge on certain receptors and molecules and their functions; better understanding of diseases and development via stem cell research; perfecting and improving cloning of animals and humans; more and better artificial intelligence (AI); a new, possibly less physically punishing criminal imprisonment system; less polluting vehicles with better mileage; and I'll leave it at that.

As for how society will perceive these ideas, many aren't too far-fetched, perhaps the criminal imprisonment system one may be. The ones for pharmacology, neuroscience and molecular and cell biology, nanotechnology and AI, those are all areas where science and technology are currently headed. Perhaps a society that isn't that well educated in such topics, such as understanding that functions of certain 5-HT receptors are understood while others are more murky, might not understand the details but the general idea of pharmacological improvements is easy to understand.
