ok so i do swimming and my swimming carnnivle is coming up fast, and i was lucky last year and my period was a week after the swimming carnivle, but this year its due on the swimming carnivle and my dad always comes and watches me and always wants me to come first blah blah blah, and i told my mum and she told me that i should just use a tampon, and i have practised using one, but not when i had my period and when i did have my period i tried and i freaked out and stuff, and now im really worried, what should i do?!?

consult your gynecologist. She will tell you. There are ways to post pone your periods by 1 to 2 weeks like taking pills like norcolut. But you have to consult your doctor.

Don't do it. If your not comfortable with it and are worried then just skip it

either dont swim or wear a tampon.
NEVER use a tampon when your not on your period, even for practice, it is not healthy for you.
If you can use one for practice when not on your period then it will be very easy in comparision when you are because it goes in a lot easier when on your period because the blood works at lubrication, its not bad, its just a little uncomfertable putting it in for the first time.

really because i found it easier to put it in when i didnt have my period, i have my period now, and i have been trying to do it but i never do it right

Isnt there some writting on the box? that tells you how/what to do.. im not sure, i dont use tampons.

yeha i have read it so many times that i could probably memorise it.
but i finally did it, im so proud of myself. so here i come swimming carnivle!!
