This morning I woke up and just said today is the day; I was going to tell a good portion of my friends that I was gay.
I got them all in good places and I just told them that I was in a serious relationship with a guy for 8 months now. None took it well; It was the last thing they were expecting. You may say that I'm a sraight role-model - captain of the soccer team, leading prop in the rugby squad among other things and plenty of girls liking me.
Because of the above they were like you can't be gay, there's no way - like because I'm good at sports and girls like me doesn't mean thay I can't be gay - does it? It has put me off telling anyone else. Did any people feel the same way? Is it easier when people expect it?

no, i have alot of girls that like me, and im gay. the ones who accept you will be your true friends. what you do does not make you gay or straight, its just who you are.

well, congratulations first off for coming out dude. that takes guts. 2nd, they are probably really shocked by this. like you said you are stereotypically straight role model. if they are truly your friends they'll come 'round.

Many factors contribute to peoples' opinions of others.
It also depends on the mentality of the person. It affects most of his/her assumptions.

And as for lots of girls liking you...I've probably found myself in the situation at least 2 or 3 times where I was attracted to a guy only to find out he was gay. Fuck you guys and your not liking vaginas lol. But yeah, that happens to girls fairly often. That's why there are so many sayings like, 'All the good ones are taken or gay.'

Girls come to me for relationship and sex issues, not relationships and when i told them i was bi they were all happy about it because they could be more open..
