locker room problem

im new here 15 and st8. everytime i am naked for extended amounts of time (like taking a shower) i start to get a boner. when im in the locker room at school i am fine (we dont have to shower), but i just started going to the ymca and do fine changing to work out or swim but would like to wash off afterwards. it is a group shower and even though i like my size (6.5 - 7 in.) i am nervous that if a get a shower ill get a boner and everyone will get the wrong impression.

i need advice and would like to know if this happened or happens to you?

Best thing to do if you get a boner whilst in a locker room is to ignore it, if you start thinking about it, it won't go away.
Don't worry about what will happen, or what other guys will think, it'd be their own fault for looking at you in the first place. Most likely there will be other guys in there with 'boners' as well, it's really not uncommon for guys to get an erection in a locker room.

i would always use to worry bout the same thing. just think of things tht seem gross. like nuns or homework and if tht doesn't work turn the water to cold cuz tht will shrink ur penis right away, i had tht happen to me once at the ymca and turning the water helped. in time u will adjust and be fine. now i walk around the locker room naked and don't get a boner at all. hope tht helped

I just dont find changing and showering in public locker rooms to be a sexual situation so I can see the other guys if they're naked without it exciting me. Its just a mental state really, showering and changing is just like a chore that you do after gym, swimming or whatever. Just like washing the dishes.

Just try to shower there and if you feel that you are getting a boner leave the shower and get dressed or continue the shower later. You must try it and you will see.

If you don't think that you're going to get an erection, you won't. As Nick said, it's not sexual - so if you look then you probably won't get an erection. As long as you don't look or think about getting erect, you probably won't.

it's not really a sexual thing. it's just a bunch of hormones in a small room. usually it's random. if you don't think about it much it probably won't happen, and if it does just ignore it.

Try not to think about it. After a few time you should get used to it and not get a boner. Just go for it. Be proud of what you have, people will be understanding. I think after youve gotten over being naked in the group shower your boners should go away.
