caving w/ cup

okay so i wasnt sure if i should post this here if not than can a mod move it

First off i will be going on a caving trip with my schools science club in a little less than a week and i want sure if i should wear a cup while doing because the guide said we will be crawling alot in the caves and i dont want to hit my junk on something and be writhing in pain on the cave floor, so can some one please give me some advice on what to do.

I've never been caving before, but I do work on cars so I crawl around a lot on the ground lol. A cup would just make it that much more uncomfortable IMO. Unless your junk like hangs way down enough to make crawling on your stomach hurt I wouldnt think theres anything to worry about lol

I been spelunking before and you dont really need to wear a cup as long as you don't plan on running around and slamming into things.

If your really that worried go wear one though it might get stuck when you have to crawl thru tight passages.

I think it'd be uncomfortable.
I mean, with my sport, TKD, a cup's necassairy, i hate it but it saves the day.
Unless your planning on humping rocks or something I don't think it'd really be a problem.
Just wear good underwear... *nods*

A cup while crawling around sounds like it would be really uncomfortable.

IMO, i wouldn't wear one.

I wouldn't wear one. The school wouldn't take you on a trip that could potentially hurt you like that. If there's a chance, the company who does the tours will have to supply cups. It's not your responsibility so don't worry.

I've been ice caving a few times, and found that a cup wasn't necessary. I'm gonna have to say it would make things even more awkward and uncomfortable, due to unequal pressure in certain areas. If you're that concerned, just be a little more cautious when you go!

i would just suggest wearing compression shorts (like you would wear for baseball or track) or just a basic jockstrap. If your going to be crawling over rocks or what ever, you should definitely wear something tight for down there so as to not pull your groin. hope this helps :)

I've gone caving and i didnt see any need for one. I can't imagine someone getting a boner while they're crawling around which is the only problem i could imagine.

But you could say that about anyone in the group, and I bet most of them aren't worrying. Like I've already said, they will have thought about this - they take people into caves for a living. Don't worry.
