Okay, so I love photography and I eventually want to go to school and have a career in it.
My favorite kind of art is very surrealistic, But anyway my question is what is a really good photography camera?
What kind of camera do you have?
My limit is around $600.
Thanks :]
Oh and I have an old Olympus camera and it's totally shot lmaoo

I would get probably a good Canon. With Zoom. Possibly one which records video too. I like those.
I would go into a electronic store, or department store, where place you are planning on buying a camera, and ask the person who works there what they recommend. Usually they will tell you which one is the better deal, or better buy.

If you are going to take it seriously you really must get an SLR. Digital SLR's dont come cheap but you have so much more creative control with an SLR plus the ability to swap lenses. On a tight budget there's a lot to be said for buying some older 35mm (film) kit from ebay, its excellent to learn with film as you have to get it right in the camera rather than correcting everything in photoshop afterwards.

I started of my photography with a Canon 350D - still got it and use it as a secondary body.
Id go with one of the entry level Canon SLRs, something like a Canon 1000D: http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product_Finder/Cameras/Digital_SLR/EOS_1000D/index.asp
Price for one of those is around about 350 GPB (which is about 550 USD).
Once you've got a basic DSLR with a lens, just play about / read tutorials online and you should slowly see your work improve :)
