Well, here is the thing: For four years(Or so) I've told everyone I want to go to law school.I believe I do have what is needed and everything and I actually wanted to. But...I've changed my opinion I mean I would still be happy being a lawyer but there is something else I would enjoy more and I don't think my parents would agree with it. I have two years until college but I don't know how to tell them this...
Thank you
(Note 1: Maybe this should go in the Education and Careers section?)
(Note 2: Don't ask me what my new choice is.It's nothing shameful, actually but I have got some stigmas with myself that make it embarassing for me to say it)

Yes this does go into Education and Careers.
I would just tell your parents that you want to change your career choice. I'm pretty sure that if it's an appropriate career, they would have no problem with you doing that.
Whatever career you chose, I would go online, do some research, see what kind of college, or training school you need to go to.

People should do the job that they really love doing. Most parents understand that basic thing. Why do you think your parents won't allow do that? If there is something that they are afraid letting you do, try to rectify that particular problem.

Well, they have always said that I should do what I like(they have told me to stay away from some things, like politics LOL).
I always like to think beforehand what kind of stuff they might come up with and in this case I think it would be:
-You're smart enough to do something else.
-It's doesnt provide work stability
-It's not something you can do for more than 17 years.
Besides they wont let me get away with not going to college(I don't need to in order to do this) and I'm actually not really located in an appropiate place to pursuit such career(NY.L.P.M or even Rio would do better).
Anyway, even being able to refute all these arguments they will never let me...I guess I'll just go to law school =(
God,I hate this I mean they didn't do what they wanted(My dad wanted to enrol in the Navy and my mom wanted to be a professional cook.He is an accountant and she is a primary school teacher) they should understand what's like but I know that when I tell them, they wont.
Sorry for posting this in the wrong place

Where you go to college does not determine your future occupation. You're not supposed to have it all figured out in high school. Most kids don't know what the hell they want to do with their lives. They go to college, arrive freshman year, take a few courses, fall in love with something, and then declare their major that next year. I'm not saying that your new 'option' isn't worth researching, but try not to talk about all this so definitively. Don't think about what your parents want, but what YOU want. Keep your mind open to all options. Trust me, apply to a wide variety of schools, and keep your mind open and willing to new ideas.

My friend just what sort of career do you wish to go for ? I'm of the people that will tell you go for what you like long as it pleases you. But it seems to me you are sort of shy to tell us what you have in mind as a career goal. In which case i feel obliged to remind you that you shouldn't pick something that is illegal, that hurts others or yourself by any means possible.

Oh,no it is nothing bad. It's just that I don't feel comfortable telling it to anyone(and actually only one of my friends know it)
Today my dad brought me the material I need to study to take my admission tests into Law.At first I kind of felt under pressure but then he said that it would "help me to know if Law is what I really want" :)
I think the thing that they would dislike the most is that I wouldn't be going into college.
Thank you all :)
