Help!
I'm on day 2 of breaking the fast after 10 days, and I am in agony. Background: this is my second cleanse, and the break went really well last time. I do it "by the book" and have been lurking on this board. Which by the way has been a godsend: thanks for all of your shares and advice.

Today I woke up with serious stomach pain: the kind that feels like someone is punching you and then on top of that, sharp stabbing pains. It's only gotten worse, and I'm doubled up barely able to walk.
So far I have been drinking lots of water and trying to use accupressure on points by the elbow and sternum. I made the mistake of coming to work, and now am stuck 35 miles from home, in a carpool that can't leave, with no access to a grocery store.

Is there anyone with any suggestions? I'll try anything! Thanks for any help!

When you don't eat your stomach shrinks, so if you like ate a whole bunch of stuff you might've stretched your stomach and its having a hard time digesting...i might be wrong though but thats what i was told by my mom when we were going through hard times with money and buying food

You're just going to have to suck it up. Sorry, not much else we can tell you.

Did you try to break your fast with something high protine/fat?

that's probably why.

Don't do that.
if you're going to fast/detox (which I reallyy don't reccomend) you need to break it with something that's high water.
cooked fruit or vegedtables

your body can't handle food, you've gone without long enough that your not creating the stomach acids needed, and your stomach may have shunk.

You need to gradually introduce food again.

Start with soft foods, like yogurts, smoothies, fruit juice, then move onto veg, fruit, etc, like I said, GRADUALLY.

Fasting isn't a good idea to do in the first place, unless it's for your health, if so, I'd consult a doctor & have them keep an eye on you whilst you are fasting.

i'd go against dairy...
it's more complex. proteins are harder to digest, even if they are soft.

I did suggest other things, but smoothies & yogurts can be good for the body after a fast, that's what I've heard anyway.

meh. i'm taking from experience.
some people might take dairy better than i do...

Perhaps.

Either way, if you have no background of dairy intolerance or dairy issues, then I'd say go ahead & give it a try, if so, try other things that are soft & easier to digest.
