Just met a cute girl at school please help me figure out what to do. Girls above 12

I dont know what to do really cuz I dont know girls cuz well I'm a guy but well yesterday I met this cute girl kinda patite, red hair, and of course very cute but when I met her she was walking down the hall crying so since it was me I walked up to her and said, "Hey I saw you crying what's wrong?" and like I said it looked like she needed a friend and all which made her giggle which I think is a good thing. I just dont know but I told her friend which is also my friend that I liked her and thought she was cute and all. Then she said she would tell her for me and stuff but like what should I do now???? I need help from you girls out there preferably girls above the age of 12

Well I'm a guy but this is free advice so maybe you should consider it. :)

Don't have your friend ask her out for you. That makes you look immature and scared. Ask her in person and away from others or at least people she knows that way she isn't pressured into a decsion she doesn't really want to make. Just be honest and up front. Maybe you should get to know her some more before you ask her out. From what you've said all I can get from it is you want to go out with her because she's cute.

Dating isn't and shouldn't be about looks but rather how you feel for and about someone.

Just treat her like a friend. Let it progress naturally and don't force anything.

Yeah I see what you both are saying....but idk really but her friend which is mine is just going to start by simply asking if she likes me and I will go from there but I might pm one or both of you for some more advice
