Has anyone tried 'abstaining'?

For those who don't know, abstaining is not masturbating/wanking/jerking off at all for a long period of time. I thought I'd give it a go for a while, as I've heard some decent things about it (increases your testosterone levels, makes you hornier, etc), and I want to challenge myself :P. It's already been 5 days since I last masturbated, and I'm still going strong :)

Has anyone tried this before? If you haven't, what's the longest time you've had between two j/o sessions?

i've through weeks without masturbating if i don't privacy, i get the urge but it disappears when you don't have a place to do it. also, you get distracted by other things.

just simply abstaining at home is hard for me especially at nights when you really don't have anything better to do :)

I did it, and went for about 7-8 months.

(This was because i went through a stage where i was extremely guilty about it. I was too guilty i gave up for 7-8 months. I don't know how i did it! I later gave in, and have never gone a day without masturbating...)

i stopped at like January 2009 and didnt masterbaut till what maybe 1-2 weeks ago. I scrubbed those damn walls that were all the way down the hall i shot so far.

just to clarify abstaining does not me not masturbating for a period of time, it meants stopping ones self from doing some thing.

and longest i've gone was 1 month, family vacation.
