i have been smoking marijuana for a year roughly almost continuosly for a personal study. this all started one day in '09, i was kinda bored and had a bag of weed i was saving for a friend and had a pack of papers so i rolled my self a J. from that point on i knew i was gonna turn this into a semi positive experince. so i got roughly 2lbs from a friend backing me on this experiment, and i was loving it all. i will break into parts.

school before pot:
i had no grade affects what so ever in fact i got better grades than ever before. i was able to take on way more things in school and had none of the problems i had with anxiety when i was not smoking. i used to get very stressed at school and eventual had a nervous break down and was a rely weird person for almost a year and alienated alot of rely good friends. and i ended up having to move to another school because i couldn't stand any one at that school (punching people out rely didn't help).so i got dumped into another school mid-year, thats when i rely went insane..

every day life pre-pot:
i hated every one after my breakdown.i rely wanted to end it all for a while but decided i have to much fun breaking stuff.so i got rid of all my friends and tried to rerite my past, didn't work.

school after pot:
i found a new enjoymentin math and sports, but i rely got interested in science and astrology.i found some rely good new friends and was able to sense bad energy coming from people who were rely negative.i found a new meaning in life.

every day life post-pot:
i was able to enjoy a sunny day. i found i was rely good with mechanics like engine rebuilding and working with metal lathes.i got less distracted and was able to get more things done than ever before. i had some very good things going for me and never felt addicted at all contrary to popular belief.

so about a month ago i stopped cold turkey and have not had a relapse at all, i lost weight and have lowly gone back to my normal self and i kind of hate it.
i am in no way and on no way was smoking pot to escape every day life but to get rid of that built up anxiety. i rely belive that marijuana should be reserved for sertain people.

i am in no way advocating the use of drugs just merely sharing my experience

The problem with turning to drugs to get rid of a built up emotion is that it doesn't give any long term effects.
If someone has a lot of anxiety or something similar they would be better served by things like meditating, exercising etc.
You know, all those healthy things that the journals have noted.

Legalize it, don't criticize it. True tbh

Everyone is different when it comes to using pot, some people it doesn't affect their life negitivly, some it does.
Great to hear a positive story.

i like pot because i can relive all my imaginations and ideas i forget throught the day and am able to release them at once. actualy some of my best ideas have come when i was stoned.

i agree pot isn't for everyone but i belive most people should atleast try it once.

Qft.

Whilst I do believe that cannabis does have some amazing medicinal effects, I don't think it should be used as a long term solution to what you are describing.

Go see your doctor and have a chat about getting some counseling / therapy for everything.

You reccomend medication, but what most of us are saying is marijuana is medicine, your saying not to use drugs and suggesting different drugs.
Side effects of most anti depressants and anxiety medication are not worth it I found.

No, I'm recommending meditation (http://www.healthandyoga.com/HTML/meditation.html) which is something completely different to drugs and proven to help a number of things including anxiety.

Oh my bad, I must have read that too fast.
Not everyone takes to meditation,
And if there was anything other than that that could make you zen,
Its weed.

There are other things besides meditation that can relax you in a healthy, risk free way but I didn't feel the need to state them explicitly here.

My experience was shit, two cones, nothing. Can it be possible that pot can effect some people and totally not effect others

yes it can be a vary diffrent from person to person. my friends can't get stoned for shit but they weigh from 20 lbs heavier to 40 almost 50lbs heavier. and the pot is a variable if it has a low thc content it wont have very much of a noticable efect. all my shit makes me (at time) almost fell like im standing on a steep hill when on flat ground. my friends weighing more get stoned slower and stay high for only a short time where as i can be ripped for a good 12 hours.

this makes me want to do another study with heavier set people.

keep in mind i am 5' 10" and my fat friends varry from 6' to 5'but weigh almost the same.

so you may see a new thread after spring break if not i still in testing  :D

Theory has it that you don't get high the first time you smoke and I believe it b/c I didn't get high the first time I did...I think ppl should use weed like most people use alcohol..just to have fun once in a while. not everyday.... thats just my opinion tho...

relying on drugs is not a healthy thing. im not saying you are, but its not a miracle just use it in moderation because if you spend all your money on it and idolize it then it will become a problem. just be careful ok? hope this helps if you want my experience with it just PM me i think i may have answers if you have questions

i dont spend any money i make money, yea i only hit it once a day about two hours before i went to sleep but i found that since i stopped i dropped in weight by 5-10 lbs and eat less and dont like to go as many weird places as when i was ripped but today i walked from my house to the golden gate bridge (about 10 miles) and that was fun but now im sore as a beaten i can be so im gonna take a hit and go to sleep in a bit

always enjoy in moderation or else it aint fun any more
