hey guys

wondering if you can help me out.

im 18 years old.

I have a pituatary tumor and it is decreasing that god to medication. I've been told its 'time' of having the tumour due to its size it took over other hormones and basically shut them down.

At the age of 14 i stopped growing tall, and until now haven't grown and havent had facial hair etc.

with the threatment i have now found out I am getting facial hair etc and on one my my doctors notes i saw "puberty stage 2.2.2.8.8" - I did a google and saw its measured on some sort of scale? But I couldnt find anything relevant to my results

What does this mean at the age of 18?

thanks i hope to see some replies
thanks

Well seeing as you've had cancer treatment I wouldn't expect the stages to be at all relevant - you'll just have to take it as it comes and remember the important thing is you're alive!!

If you want to check, the stages are called "Tanner Stages" :)

Here is more information on the Tanner Scale.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanner_scale

Did the doctor examine you? He probably just wrote down the results.

yup but it only mentions two things there.

i've got results "2.2.2.8.8" which is 5 things identifying each result identifies 5 different things?

edit:
also it only goes up to 5 the tanner scale, where are the 8's from?

Maybe he's not using tanner staging? It might be how they catalogue results in your area.
