The wetness in my eyes
It’s silent and flowing
Never was it simply joy
Always sadness
Driven from hard guilt

The drop on my cheek
Makes a whimper
As passes my nose
Sent from a love
We’ll never know

The salt on my lips
Gasps for air
Choking on reality
Running from truth
That was never near

The hole in my heart
Pretends to be full
But that piece is gone
You’re still holding it
Let go now dear

The past in my life
Wishes a new future
Time can’t change
You’d never know
How we’d grow

Time in my eyes
Love in my heart
Air in my lungs
A pain play the part
You’ll never know
