plus you are majorly missing that rock is no longer one genre, it can be simplified into metal, punk, pop punk, indi, grunge, soft, classic, and everything else is lumped under the much non-liked title of alternative.

i myself enjoy classic rock (beatles, ramones, the clash, QUEEN!!) and alternative rock (coldplay, ben folds) along with some down and dirty regular stuff (RHCP, SOAD). another great genre is accapella (rockapella rocks!)

Then I like some more popular rock like Jet and The Darkness. I really enjoy modern singer songwriter pop like Ben Jelen and Hanson. My music taste is actually somewhat strange... My favorite band is Smile Empty Soul, who you probably have never heard of... but then things like KoRn and Disturbed and stuff... But yet I also love Eminem, and I listen to things like Ashlee Simpson and Avril Lavigne cuz that's all my bestfriend/room mate likes and we have to have something in common... LOL... CANNOT stand country (which is all anyone likes around here besides the Christian stuff), except an occassional Dixie Chicks song... :wink:
