Ps3, it is the best, although mine did die after four years of great gaming, it was worth the money for the four years of boredom killing

I also didn't take great care of it, so if cared for it would of probs last longer than it did.

PS3 is a better machine, doesn't break as much, 360 has a better library of exclusive games, however.

PS3 is better because: Built in BluRay, free online (albeit not as good), built in wireless, in-warranty exchange of hard drives, PS1 classics, better reliability, ITS SHINY :D (well, mine is.), compatibility with virtually any BlueTooth headset, Uncharted 2.

XBox 360 has: Halo.

Xbox360 has: Mass Effect 1 and 2, a good Bioshock1, Gears 1 and 2, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, and others. C'mon now, don't be a troll.

PS3 has: Uncharted 1 and 2, MotorStorm 1 and 2, The entire Gran Turismo Series (based on what PS3 you have, even the PS2 ones), MAG, Ratchet and Clank Series, Resistance, and Little Big Planet. Among hundreds of downloadable PS1 games and PS exclusives such as WipeOut and Ridge Racer.

Way more players= way more 5 year olds going OMG YOU KILDZ MEEEE!!!1!!.
It is not cheaper, unless you get the Arcade which has a whopping 256MB Memory space. Then you gotta buy a hard drive which costs $100. Then they cost the same price anyway.
I never lag.
And a lot of PS3 games have DLC, considering most of the games are the SAME games.

Nicely said, but im going to add some stuff that I noted when I was playing my ps3 and my xbox.

All of the xbox 360 equipment are made by either microsoft or madkatz(mostly by microsoft) This ensures all equipment work and are compatible with the actual machine.
The ps3 equipment are made by 50+ different companies that you have to connect to your machine through a series of loop-da-loops and thingymabobs and connectythingys. Then once you do get it connect if you ever do it isnt as great of a quality than xbox equipment. (just throughing this in here, but i bought a wired and wireless microphone for the ps3 and I cant seem to get any of them to work for any extended duration of play. as in 10+ minutes)

When updating games or the xbox dashboard, the updates take at most 10 minutes(when the dashboard went from the old to the new one), but usually take 25 seconds when updating games. PS3 however can take 10-60 minutes to simply update a game. You cant even play games when its updating so I would by far choose to sit while waiting for a downloaded game to download on the xbox 360 than sit and wait for a game to be updated on the ps3. I dont even want to know how long it will take if sony decides to change their dashboard. I would guess multiple hours.

I prefer the 360 controller, I also prefer just the whole UI on a 360. End of the day they both have there +'s and negatives and I'm happy with any.

Personally I have a 360 but thats cause the majority of my mates have 360's
