I am 15, and have actually been very successful in web and graphic design and already own a small business I call JH Dynamics. I have done work for many companies and organizations.

I was wondering if I could make Virtual Teen a new main site banner, just to spice things up and make you guys some flash banners (ads, links, etc..) For free just to support the site. I am very impressed with the traffic and idea of the website and would like to show my support this way.

If you want to go ahead and make them up then post them in the suggestions forum, I don't have a problem with that. I can't promise that we will use them as the members and staff will have to agree by a majority to change the logos.

A universal logo would really be good though because at the moment there are about 3 or 4 different ones if you rotate between the different forum styles.

Just note that we prefer to run VT with very little advertising and we won't be able to offer any in exchange for this nice gesture.

Okay, sounds great. And nothing is needed in return, it's just my way of supporting the website. :) They will probably be done within the hour. And the logo, I wont bother until 2moro because my Photoshop CS4 is screwed up and needs to be reinstalled, but my flash mx is working fine and will get started on them, whether you need them or not! :P

I'm sure they could be used for something, like webmasters linking back or just teens who want to share the site with their friends. (i.e. Putting on their facebook, youtube, or myspace profiles, etc..)

Okay, I have finished some logo ideas and flash banners. It did not take me long at all. I figured uploading them to my server would be the most appropriate way of letting you get the files.

Unzip them and use a application that opens .swf files to read them. They're really cool.

Cool banners. IMO the font in banner1.swf would look better as a sans-serif font such as helvetica, tahoma, verdana, something like that.

You've also spelt "embarressed" wrong in the two male and female files. It should be "embarrassed".

I also like the logo's, particularly the first two.

OP - I like them. Very much. I wouldn't see a harm in changing the logos for a test period, but I don't think flashy is what we're looking for. Something simple, very humble in looks and appeal. Other than that, you do VERY fine work.

I don't like them tbh, the first three looked like you made them on power point and the logos looked like you could make them online with a banner maker not saying you did just saying that they don't look custom designed for one site more like any site could use it.

First Off, I've gotta say. I think you should drop the whole "Psychiatric Ward" thing. I'm sure some of the teens using this site have spent some time in a psychiatric ward and seeing that doesn't seem very appropriate and is kinda senseless.

Anyways, I've attatched some logos I've done for each theme. If you do not like them or want changes, let me know and I'll get them done. :)

*The Silver Blue logo is just blank because I feel it should be changed because of the "Psychiatric Ward" thing.

The Psychiatric Ward is what VT started out as. It's still the most important section of the site, and the name should stick. It's been good for 5 years now.

First off, "I've gotta say." You shouldn't just jump on here and tell people how to do something they've been doing very well for a long time. I don't care how successful your sites are, there are other ways of doing things and this way works fine.

Yeah. Sorry Adam, I read his post wrong (The result of an all nighter working on hw) and thought he was was being narcissistic. Sorry Canadian, but I really do like your artwork... To be completley honest though, I think we're better off the way we are now.
