I'm still a virgin at 16. What age did you lose your virginity at and at what age does it become unacceptable to be a virgin

I agree that there is no age limit on it, but its idealistic and unrealistic to think that everyone wants to wait for someone they love. If two people want to have "recreational" sex, and neither is deceiving the other in any way, I wouldnt condemn that.

In society these day's its seen as weird if people are still virgins by the time their in thier late 20's and such, depending on where you are in the world. There's nothing wrong with this.
Having sex for the first time should be a special moment between you and someone you love. It shouldn't be treated as something that's like, "woops, I'm 17 now... Getting a bit old there, time to go make love before I'm a social reject"...
Just don't do it before your ready. =)

I don't think the question should be when does it become unacceptable to be a virgin, it should be when is it unacceptable to lose your virginity!?

Personally I think anyone under 15/16 isn't ready, whether they say they are not...95% they're not. You don't even reach the height of puberty till 16/17 so why would you rush off and have sex below the legal age? Cause you want to...you may think you want to but your unlikely to even understand what sex really means! Your doing it cause you love someone...you can't love someone fully until you mature enough to understand what love really is, usually that doesn't happen until your atleast 16 - some people never discover the true meaning. You can't love someone (that isn't family) if you don't understand it, there are many different types of love but the one that would make you "ready" most people don't learn until they find the one....your very unlikely to find the one in high/secondary school!

i don't know what they call gay boys who havent had sex but if its virgin, then i am 15 nd never did anything either and i mean sexual stuff. i think sex is probably cool but i dont think you have to be any particular age to try it for the first time and when i do finally do it i want to be in love with that person so im really not in any hurry and i dont think that makes you lame just because you want to be different.
