what's the difference between snorting ecstasy and like, orally taking ecstasy?
otherthan one is snorting, one is orally..

Depending on the route of administration, the amount that is processed by the hepatic system will vary. If you snort it, then much more will not be processed by the liver. When it is processed by the liver, then there is less available for you to feel the effects.

I wouldn't recommend snorting anything you get off of the street due to possible contaminants (glass etc) which can do nasty things to the various nasal canals / passages.

People just do that because it gets them more high and kicks in faster.
It is terrible for your nostrils and after a while chemical burn will becom visable and when done enough the nostrils will cave in.
