I agree. But I happen to lack much sympathy. Because that's what I don't want. I guess what I'm saying is that I give people what I always wanted. Which is not sympathy.

I believe it is possible to achieve a balance between the two extremes in one's approach, and that is what I always seek to portray. Too much sympathy can be dangerous; likewise is too little.

I like to strike a balance too. sometimes it is easy to fall into the trap of self pity and you need a boot to get yourself going. other times you need to be sympathetic because the person is trying and needs the kind words.
