I think my family knows im gay

Hey VT community,

I think my family knows I'm gay, because my little sister(12) said that her, my mom, my other sister, and my other sisters boyfriend have all been questioning my sexuality behind my back.
I'm kinda afraid to come out to them, because they're my family... but Ive come out to everyone at school already.
I don't know what to do.... What is your opinion on this?

So I told my mom, she wondered why I didnt tell her sooner, but she was totally okay with it, I guess im lucky! Its still kind of embarassing because she made me go to her room, and talked about how AIDS is pretty common in the gay community, so I should be careful.... really embarrassing, but i am glad I came out at home, now everyone knows im gay. =)

If they've guessed anyway and havent freaked out about it then maybe its time to be honest with them. However you should only come out when you feel the time is right for you, but if you get forced into a situation where you are denying it that will just make it harder later on.

Just tell them that you feel conterbold being gay and that nobody need to tell you nothing about your sexualarity!!!

Maybe you should just wait until you're really ready to tell them, but don't mention it until then. If they ask, then just be honest if you feel that they'll be okay with it.

Come out when you feel the need to. I always say that you know when it's time to come out. It's just a feeling you have. If you are afraid that your family won't accept you, don't be. They will probably still love you anyways. If they truly love you, they would totally support you.

Just tell them. Theyre your family and even if they freak out they still love you and will calm down after a while.

if they already know then telling them prolly wont effect their reaction much... i think you should tell them (although i have not myself), but thats only becuz you found out they were questioning your sexuality... i think you should tell them...

you may want to tell them. they will feel better about it to hear it from you. i know it's hard to come out. but now might be the best time.

so kid, it all depends on u. like if u think ur family's gonna understand it, tell it. if u think they cant - keep it secret as long as u can. u have your private life, and it's none of anybody's business are u gay, bi or straight ;)

If you're quite sure that they know, then tell them. Denying it will only make it worse when you eventually do come out.

Your family should accept you no matter what. Be proud of who you are, you tell whom ever you want and do not hold back.
