What are your strong subjects at school, and what are your weaknesses?

My strength... totally SCIENCE SCIENCE SCIENCE!

But, a lot of people like science and are good at it, unfortunately. Despite the fact that I got 98% in grade 10 academic science (the top of my class)... I've got a helluva lot of competition in grade 11 and 12 sciences.

Can't really think of anything else I am good at since my courses don't have that much variety. I'm pretty much mediocre at everything else. But I'm absolutely horrible at Math, doing gr10 applied right now, idn how it will go. Math has always been my absolute worst subject.

I'm also taking 11 English at the University level atm, but 3 days into the semester and I don't feel like it's going very well, mainly because the teacher is an idiot and quite frankly I do not like him at all. I got 70's in both grade 9 and 10 English, but hell at least I had competent and supportive teachers for those. This guy? First day of school he gets the course started by making us interpret a "Calvin and Hobbes" comic. WTF is that shit all about, anyway? No wonder I've heard so many bad things about this guy.

Tomorrow I'm going to talk to my guidance counselor to get my courses switched around, see if I can take English a different period or something. I dont wanna fail...

Damn frickin' pesky compulsory credits. :(

Why are you taking university level english in 11 if you had problems in 9 and 10?
JW...

My strongest are math science and electronics
Next I'm semi-decent in design and history
English is my absolute worst subject though... I hate the class, and frankly I'll be happy if I get a B this year. Writing 'interpretation' isn't my thing, and frankly my textbook (Springboard) is trying to create a homogeneous society of students (They want us to ALL be from the same fucking backround)

I didn't have problems... I did pretty well, actually. My teacher now is just an idiot. The other two I had in previous years were both women, and they were wonderful... but this guy? I dunno. He's just terrible.

English is my best... I have always maintained an A with almost no effort needed. It's just natural to me.
Math is my worst. I'm in college and taking remedial math because I never learned a lot of the basic concepts.

C&H comics can actually be pretty deep. And no offense, but that's the level of English about 90% of you lot are able to interpret. You're not going to make people read Shakespeare when they can barely write. Common sense.

Nivellement par le bas.

My best is French literature.
My worst has always been PE.

Maybe my standards are too high, but since when is a 70 doing pretty well, to think that a university level class in high school is a good idea?

Seriously drop down to the regular high school level class. especially if the teacher is also a doushe, because more than likley if you just change periods you'll still have him

My worst has always been PE.
PE is not a subject, but something to hope to get a passing grade in

In high-school I did mostly sciences, such as AP calculus, AP physics, AP chemistry, AP biology and geometry discrete mathematics (3-D math and probability, now calculus and vectors). In university, I'm mostly into psychology, biology and math (including statistics). I know psychology isn't always seen as science and I agree, some areas really aren't but the areas I've studied that I like are forensic psychology but especially neuropsychology.

My main area I like I'd say is neuroscience and one course I'm doing now I love: neurophysiology at a cellular level. It involves physics of electricity and applying it to biological systems in order to see how bioelectricity in cells works. It also involves toxins and diseases, and how and why they work. I like applying neuroscience to areas like medical pharmacology (understanding how medications work from a biological view, not the chemical engineering and such for them).

The statistics comes into play because, especially next year, I'll be doing a course for statistics of forensic sciences, involving the statistical analysis of DNA and fiber, value of evidence, etc... .

So if I had to pick three areas, I'd say biology, math (including statistics) and biological psychology.

I did decent in high-school and university English, with around 80% in the courses but it was a pain in the ass, so much so that I'd mentally wander off and have to keep myself focused on the material. Did decent but it was much easier to do neurophysiology labs involving putting various electrodes in cells and deriving Schrodinger's Equation for chemistry on tests.

Sciences English Math Wood shop Jewelry and Home Ec. good at History and Cultural studies. Worst at PE (i have physical problems like IT band syndrome, dislocated joints and respiratory issues) but all I have to do is keep to my training schedule and I'm good on that and anything that can bore me to quickly. Bio/geo is included in the sciences. But I've done preliminary studies in psychology, art, emergency medical care, and a few other unusual categories.

English is my least bad subject, but all subjects have been difficult for me this year, coz since September I've had to cope with learning two languages (Catalan and Spanish) to the level I need to follow the other subjects. Hopefully I'll improve next course, as I'm fluent in Catalan and Spanish now.

It seriously depends on your level of study.

Where I am now, you can choose what to do in PE. 2 years ago I did fencing, then skiing, and now I'm doing gym work. All individual sports, since I hate team sports.

Where I attended high school, it consisted of the gifted jocks team destroying the fat nerd team at every sport in existence.

The irony is that I wasn't even in the fat nerd team. When I played, I was mostly on the gifted jock team, even tho' I wasn't in peak condition (I have excellent court awareness). Most times I'd just change, bring a book, sit in the bleachers, read, and when the teacher would attempt to get me to participate, I'd say some smartass thing like "I'm exercicing my eyes" or "hey, it's brain gym".

I failed both PE10 and PE11. I got my high school diploma anyway, and I'm racking up the PE points in college. Go figure...

Study?
Mindless running and/or ball throwing counts now?
Like I said, not a subject just something to wreck your GPA with

If you're good at it, then I fail to see how it'd wreck your GPA. I wouldn't use the term "study" in relation to sports because the studying involved (i.e. memorizing, say, American football routes) isn't really the same as academic subjects. It's more of how devoted you are and how much you practice, not so much academic studying. I never considered sports or gym to be an actual course, it's more of something that is for physical exercises and usually team work.

Ever considered the amount of technique needed to handle a ball correctly in basketball?

It's study-able.

I've got Religion 2, Geometry, Art Foundations, Biology Acc, Spanish 2, English 2 Acc, and World Civ Acc.

My best subjects are Geometry, even though I hate it; and Spanish 2. Biology Acc is ok, we've started to move out of all the micro-biology stuff. And I'm awful at English, I find it hard to keep an 80 average.

Modelling is my strongest subject as it includes lot of practical work. I got a 97 out of 100 during the last term.
Whereas i am weakest in Maths in which I barely manage to pass.

I take 7 subjects total, and out of them Maths, Physics and Music are probs my best. Then Chemistry. I need to get 75%+ in my final exams in 2011 in Maths, Physics and Chem to do Science in college so It's no bother to me really :)

I HATE English and Irish...see no point in them being mandatory in Ireland. STUPID. I'm awful at both, but thank God I can just wing them and hope for the best =/ German I'm actually really good at but it's really easy so I wouldn't count as my best perse.

I'd say my strengths lie in Music and Math oddly enough, seeing as though those are like the opposite sides of the brain lol.
Weaknesses.. probably Writing, though I have all A's in that I't harder for me to get A's in that class..

I'm most interested in Physics.
I'm best at It, of all the things I do.
I dislike maths the most, as its so boring with the teacher I get.
I'm the worst at Re, as I sit and do nothing because of my 'religion'.
