I personally dont like valentines day. just because its a time where most people are giving their special someone a gift and whatnot, but im with someone and i dont want to celebrate v-day, ive despised this holiday forever..for as long as i can remember. BUT my point i guess is tha not everybody has to give things, and that your not alone on disliking vday. Id rather have my own day that is special to me and him than a day where everybodyyyy gives people things. and why do you have to have a day to say i love you to someone when you should be telling them that ALL the time?? just my opinion..not sure if it makes sense or helped. but i hope i helped.

Valentines Day is definitely not one of my favorite times of the year.
All its gonna do this year is remind me Im alone and have no one special in my life -this year is gonna be extra rough for me.

Like I said on my thread (which I posted in the wrong place - can a mod move please) Valentine's Day sucks when you are single. You feel alone, jealous of other people, moody and annoyed by people's displays of affection in public and feel like you're being slapped in the face and laughed at the whole day. You don't want to ruin it for others (they have a blowjob and sex to look forward to) but you can't act like you are happy. I hope tomorrow goes quickly. It is my parents evening at school tomorrow as well :mad:. Anyway fuck this corporate, insulting holiday.

There really isn't anything special about Valentine's Day. It isn't a holiday or anything (nobody gets off school or work), and it doesn't mark anything historically significant or special, so who gives a crap? Most certainly not I. Valentine's Day is purely a retail frenzy.

Besides, I won't even be seeing my partner that day because she's going on a school trip, since she is on the volleyball team. But I don't really care, because there is always another perfectly good day we can spend time together. :)

Also (at least where I live), even though Valentine's Day is all about love and whatnot, most people don't even realize what true love is. So they may get a present for their boyfriend/girlfriend on that day, but break up a week later over some petty dispute. Of course, this isn't true for all couples, but tends to happen to the younger end of the dating spectrum.

First of all - Valentine's is a pointless holiday (just like all the others I might add). It's been taken over by Hallmark and has lost it's meaning.
