My love, my letters,
All burnt to the ground,
Never given a second chance,
By a blink or sound
You stood there,
Laughing in my face,
Laughing with your friends,
All at a random pace
The pictures of you and me,
Were set free,
In the light of day,
With a night to be.
One night taken from your life,
Changed my world forever,
Till you told me “it is over”,
You just had to pull the lever.
You told me you loved me,
Yet it was all a lie,
Telling me you’d be there forever,
After kissing me under the night sky.
Red eerie lights,
Glowing with ember,
Combining our hearts,
In mid-September.
You took my heart,
Shattered to pieces,
Until you took it and shattered it more,
I thought you were my masterpiece.
Sadly it was all a lie,
The way you played me,
Made me cry.
As you drifted me out to sea.
You left me sitting on my porch,
Only to be thinking of you,
When at last you called me one more time,
And said, “You I will always misconstrue.”
All burnt to the ground,
Never given a second chance,
By a blink or sound
You stood there,
Laughing in my face,
Laughing with your friends,
All at a random pace
The pictures of you and me,
Were set free,
In the light of day,
