Popped into my head yesterday. Doesn't really make sense.
"Hello? Hello?" No answer.
"Kind sir, are you there?"
"Oh! You've changed"
Do my eyes deceive me?
Your face is gaunt
Your eyes mere sockets
"What happened, old man?"
He cannot speak, cannot move
"Your hair is gray"
"Your skin is pale"
His bed has changed as well
In your casket, warm and black
Lying six feet under
"Oh father dear," he cannot hear
His daughter sing her song.
"why'd you leave me all alone?"
"I cannot sleep, cannot cry"
"And you cannot even try."
