Rusted from life
Broken from pain
Yet she goes on
Walks through the rain
Through the unpaved path
Of life, love and loss
It’s amazing, the things,
She comes across
A rainbow at night
Bubbles in the sky
Beauty fills the earth
Yet she can’t figure out why
She’s seen the destruction
She’s seen the depths of hell
She’s taken the easy way
Her soul she’d sell
She wants to go back
To the heaven it used to be
But since he came to her room
She will never be free
The memories will be kept
If only she could restore her innocence
Had that man not come to her room
It might be different.
