i think what you are feeling and what you think about him has potential to grow to something more. you just need to give things time to grow on the friendship level and see how you feel about him after some time to develop your friendship. in that time, even being a shy guy, he might give you some vibes of how he feels about you. sometimes actions speak louder then words.

You really didn't explain that much, and just because he talks to you, DOESN'T mean he likes you, not to be mean. But, alot of guys have friends that are girls that they can talk to for hours, so don't expect anything.
