View Full Version : Burning a dual disc movie to one DVD?

So my father let me borrow his copy of "Goodfellas". It's a double sided disc, where two parts of the movie are on opposite ends of the disc. I used DVD Shrink to backup the files onto my desktop, but I want the entire movie to go on just ONE disc so I don't have to waste two discs. The problem is that each VIDEO_TS folder is 3.87 GB and combining the two would be over six gigs so it wouldn't fit on a single DVD.

Is there any way that I can get the movie on one disc? I know that DVD Shrink has a re-author tool, would this help?

You are just going to have to burn 2 separate discs.

Unless you can find a higher size DVD R disc.

I've looked all over and can't find a higher sized DVD+/-R anywhere unfortunately. I'm just looking for some good enough options here. Thanks for your help.

You can get dual layer dvd's// they're about 8.6gb IIRC.
