I am absoultley tired of my mom fucking with my files on my computer! Is there anyway I can download something that takes screenshots of what she does. That way if she takes something off, I can look at the shot and prove to her that she did that.?

You can get a screen recorder and run it as soon as she goes on... If you want it I'll find the link of the one I've got.

Couldn't you save a print screen of your desktop?

Andy's suggestion is the best. If you are away from the computer, lock your user account by putting a password on it. That way she won't get on your account and mess things up.

Andy's Post is great but if what you are looking is a way to have an evidence for your mom's activities i would recommend a screencast app: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screencast there are many programs i remember i used the lotus version and was good...

Prevention is better than creating arguments :) Password your account and it can be forgotten about then

I've got parental controls on her account where she is limited to do only certain things.
I don't want to hear about the password thing, I need something that runs constantly while she is on it.

Well reality is, she has a right to go through your computer.
As a parent, its her responsibility to make sure that you are not doing what you're not supposed to on the computer.
If you password protect the computer, she will confront you about it.
If you do get some sort of computer capture software that captures activity, she will still confront you about it, saying that she was only doing it for your own good.
The only thing that I can say is talk to your mother, and tell her that you are not doing anything inappropriate on the computer.

You DO realize that if you password your account, then she can't get on? Tough shit if she doesn't like it. If you want some privacy, then you have a damn right to have it.

Why dont you just lock your files? seriously its not that you should be recording what she is doing as much as removing the ability and such the temptation for her to need/want to. or you know you could take the easy way out and just talk to her about it. tell her that your not comfortable with her violating your privacy and that if she really desires to know what occupies your time then she should ask you. or that if she is going to go through your things to at least give you forewarning so you can go through whatever you need to.

You can as a systems operator password your account but unless you have the administration user profile then your user profile CAN be accessed. well more so the administrator can access your account.
The other thing I forgot to mention in my other post is that you can easily go through the systems logs. Usually a computer will keep a log in the script on the hard drive. however without being allowed to basically take your system apart I would not be able to tell you how to with your specific computer.

I don't need to hear about the password thing.
How about just answering my questions and leave it at that.. How about that?
