Well u can shave it but it will itch like crazy or u can mabe trim it which is what I do. Just be very careful. I don't have much, to start with but I still trim.

Don't worry about the ass so much, that's too much effort. If I were you, I'd at least trim in the crack-esque area, as it just makes things cleaner and easier. I personally shave that region, and think it's just fine.
