Please don't. I wanted to drop out I don't know how many times. My sister dropped out and she always tells me that was the worst decision of her life. It's so hard to find jobs now without education. If you haven't dropped out yet, please don't. If you already dropped out, I'm sorry that you felt that way, and I hope whatever you do with your future is positive.

er...ask for all the extra credit you can? you may want to consider summer school, sorry, but its sort of a good option.

Take the GED, man. I took it after my Sophomore year and passed easily. A month or so later I got my HS diploma in the mail. hahaha

^^Word. My older brother dropped out in 11th grade and got his GED. It's not the end of the world, I promise. You could also go the summer school route and make up the classes you're failing and get your diploma that way. Either way, don't ever feel like you don't have options. Talk to a counselor or a teacher.

i have no plans to drop out, but i am in a situation where odds are i wont be able to walk with my class... my teachers are done working with me because they know i am perfectly capable...and its true school comes easily to me...too easily...its just not enough of a challenge to keep my interest.

Nick, I was the same about a month back. Because I didnt undertand the diffrences with the education system in the UK between the one in the USA. So I looked on the internet about a month ago and found this page THIS PAGE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_and_British_English_differences#Education). I dont know if it will help you or not but I thought I might just post it to see if you could use it!:P:P

yeah sweety its not a good idea to drop out or skip getting some sort of diploma even if it means getting the GED. I was home-schooled and taking college classes most of my life and its hard enough plus I cant get the GED because of a Job that I've been looking at. Trust me its a lot easier to try to finish. There is always an alternative to dropping out. I'm not sure about your town but in most (even out here in the middle of nowhere Montana) town/cities there are usually some sort of "alternative" education centers. Because I was home-schooled and dont have a diploma or GED yet (working on it) I cant get into 2 of my 3 choice colleges. Talk to your counselor about maybe taking the college entrance exam or the SAT's to prove that you have the knowledge to graduate or ask him/her if there are any supplemental education programs that will catch you up or at least help get you closer to your diploma.

Same with me, which is why I'm in college at 16. So I can be challenged. I'm not a genius or anything, it's just high school was a joke. I'm telling you, find out when you can take the GED and do that. It sounds like you're dropping out but I got my state certified high school diploma in the mail later. Or actually focus in school.

We talked about this on MSN the other night...
I've had an idea... rather a memory... but a good one nonetheless.
If I don't talk to you tonight, I'll give you a call of text over the weekend,
I've thought of a few different options.

Okay so i had to go in for a meeting (originally to see about sending me to an alternative school) and they gave me my last option... i have to take one class at twilight school and pass the classes in my *relatively* light schedule this semester, which i am perfectly capable of doing. looks like everything will work out fine.... :)
