need to stop the bleeding..

ok this time i did not cut myself... i was shaving this morning... and well anyway.. yea.. i rushed and was going fast and hard cuz there was literally no time.... and well this was at 6:30... and well anywya i got cut more like i took a clump of skin off... i saw it on the razor... .. i waited in the shower for 5 minutes and the water was bright red. I got out and started drying myself, i dind't think anything of it, this is like a shaving cut, it will stop soon... like it always does... well it didn't... as i dried, it wasn't even a second till i got blood on the floor... i wrapped a towel around me quickly did another wipe of blood of my ankle and ran into my room, then wiped it again with tiisue. like i haven't seen so much blood before... it kept running down.... i went onto my bed and got 2 tissues, they were used up within 2 minutes.. I then went to grab to some more and got blood on my bed, it dripped through my sheets into my mattress... i then kept pressure on it... mind you i'm runing out of time i only had until 7 to get ready. So i wrap gause around it and it won't stay... so i pull that off and just put on knee highs... so that bleeds through.. and its bleeding into my shoe... and no i'm at school and its still blleding.... what do i do... i cna't go to the nurse i have SH scars on my ankle, she'll see it... and think i did it :( i'm afraid... i just want it to stop... note i'm anemic.... so losing blood... isn't good.... even if its a little bit... so i need to stop ASAP!!

I highly doubt that you would be bleeding to death and you decide to try to help yourself on a forum. Just alittle farfetched.

The nurse is it, pretty much, if not it'll eventually dry on its own.

no i'm not bleeding to death.... i just want it to stop bleeding. and its seriously no exageration... i guess i just bleed a lot. i guess it'll stop eventually. I guess i'll go to the nurse if it is still bleeding by the time this class is over. But no, honestly i'm not exagerating this... which is why i'm sort of freaked... but i guess your right it'll stop soon.. maybe.. see like you know the indentations on your heel like when you bend and straighten it... well when i came down real hard, i kind of took chunk of skin off of on of htem . i guess the best way to describe look at you finger...straighten thmesee how it looks different then when you bend it... like its like that but iwth your ankel/ heel area but does the oppostie and i ust took one of the hump thingies off of my heeel... whn i was shaving.. .thats the best way i can describe it sorry...

We don't need a description, you need to keep pressure on it, usually it's the shallow superficial cuts that actually cause more bleeding faster than the deeper wounds, I've found that anyway, but I'd advise getting some loo paper, putting it over the wound, and keeping it there throughout the day. Wrap it up into like a ball.

Next time, try to remain calm, keep pressure on the wound, raise it above heart level, & try to relax.
It'll stop in the end.

I shave as much as I can off, but that's for personal, sensitive reasons.

Well if your in a ruch and your going off somewhere to sit down, put a plaster on the cut and then tightly tie a bangage around it. Then if your going somewhere where you can sit down cross your let or rest it on a chair try and raise it a bit.
Also be careful it dosnt get infected because you could get blood poisoning.

alright thanx Aimee. I just dind't have time to sit down... like i was rushing out of the house... and we own no bandaids or tape... we have nothing but some gause... and well couldn't tell my parents, cuz they would've said i did it on purpose

lepherchaun- it was the heel/ ankle area that got messed up. but umm ankle ius part of leg you usually shave it. the place where it got messd up your not supposed to sahve, well i usually don't. i was in a rush pushing hard so i'd only go over the area once and pretty quickily... and well its slipped from my hand (like i lost its hold) and i grabbed tighter and and finsihed its downward motion which was that area... if that makes sense..

Glad to hear you're okay, out of curiosity have you been given iron tablets to help with your anemia? they actually worked great for me.

yes i have. but it hasn't really helped because i lose a lot of blood when i cut, and i also don't eat enough food that owuld help.... and i was anemic before all of that... so its just sort of making it worse.. i do take iron tablets regulary tho. oh and if i hav my period ahhh everything jsut gets worse...

I got given iron tablets long before I started any deep cutting so I sort of semi-recovered. It sucks that this affects you so much *huggles*
