I have 2 ideas:

Magnetic ferro fluid ( Pretty much magnetic black water. And if you hold a magnet above or below it, it makes weird-ass spikes )

or

making a non-Newtonian fluid ( A fluid that doesn't follow the laws of physics )

Cold fusion.

Cold fusion.

Uh... I can't do cold fusion... Im too stupid for that

Do a barrel roll.

Hmm, why not something about physics (other than the non-Newtonian idea)? Probably something on the matter of atoms and how that matter combines to form the atom?

I vote the first idea... Or a scale model of the solar system.. That is always good.

You could make a hovercraft that you can ride on.

i agree with this.

moving: white padded room >>> edu & careers

i've done the solar system thing before. all you need to do is research the size of each planet and their distance from the sun and eachother, then do a scale model of it. its a little annoying, but reasonably easy.

When I done mine is primary school it was just kinda blobs of clay and twigs :P

Back in high-school, one of the projects I did is a bit similar to the first one in that it involves magnets. Anyways, had to pull some strings do complete it but the idea was to take a whole bunch of paper clips or something else fairly magnetic and cheap to buy. Next, buy various magnets and try to alter the magnets, such as by heat and cold. For heat I used a blow torch on whereas for cold I tried to freeze it in a freezer and then pull some strings to get someone to dip it in liquid nitrogen. Pulled some more strings to get someone to put it in a smelter. Each condition got a different magnet. I just then discussed the physics of magnets when they're normal and then how they change when you fiddle with them enough.

Another one I did which needed less strings to pull (in fact none really) was pendulum motion. Had my father help me build a wooden arm for the pendulum. Needed a lot more math, trigonemtry, etc... .

I got first place in the first one, third place in the second one.
