I've always loved it, I've read several novels, lots of poems and assorted short stories. The culture in them is fascinating, in my opinion. Especially in comparison to Caucasian literature.

Some of what I've read:

Their Eyes Were Watching God ~ Zora Neale Hurston
The Bluest Eye ~ Toni Morrison
Recitatif ~ Toni Morrison
Mother To Son ~ Langston Hughes
I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings ~ Maya Angelou (currently reading)

My American Minorities Lit instructor played this the other day in class, and I loved it:

It's like singing without singing.

Have you read any black literature?
What do you think of it?
