Wonder.

Today my friend told me one of his friends... suicide. He has cut many times and he finally just cut too far. I feel sorrow and my friend just can't keep it together. It's unbelieveable. It's unreal. My friend was close to him. I'm sure they would be married if they were gay. I never met him but from what my friend told me about him I feel like he was my friend too. I feel so sad. But this isn't about me. What can I say to my friend? Or should I not say anything? I just want to make sure my friend doesn't do something stupid because of sadness...

Just be there to support him. Do what you think is best and stand by his side. Don't ever desert him through his hardest times, just be there whenever he needs to talk. Because to him, you being there for him will be enough. Not everyone is the best at advice and talking with things around death and such. If you don't feel comfortable talking or don't want to upset him, just show him that you do care, he won't do anything daft if he has someone there, and if he does, support him.

i agree with natalie. you should be there to support him in his time of grief. there's not much to say except that you care about him too.

You need to try and stay strong too. Maybe tell someone you trust that this has happened so they can help support you both too. It's not easy to support a friend like this alone.
