I'm Atheist! Who is too?! I'm also a 8/9:yes:
How do you rate yourself on my super-dooper scale of religiousness!
1- I'm very religious and thank God (Allah) everyday
2- I'm go to church(Includes Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and others) frequently but do not associate myself with Him (or them) very often
3- I believe in God (or Gods) but don't go to any services
4- I'm weary about God(s)' existance
5- Not sure, but leaning towards Atheism
6- I believe God(s) do(es) not exist but I'm still not quite sure
7- I most definately believe God(s) do(es) not exist at all
8- I'm against every religion, but not the people
9- I hate every religious person (to a certain extent)
10- Every religious person doesn't deserve the right to live!

As a reasonable thinker, saying that God or any other deity does not exist would be just as ignorant as saying there is one. However, I do believe that the basis of faith as well as the customs of most religions are distorted and out of date for our society.
On Richard Dawkins' scale from 1-7, 1 being totally religious and 7 being a firm non-believer in God, I'd say I'm a 6.5.

I have actually read book and if I wouldn't have been lazy, I would have grabbed it and looked for that chart but... On Richard Dawkins's scale, I consider myself a strong 7

I'm also an 8 or 9.
I don't dislike the people, as long as they don't start preaching to me.

There is no way to prove that any god exists. (that we know of)
There is no way to disprove that any god exists (Because we don't know for sure, Logically, we cannot)
Religion doesn't affect me. I don't mind if people want to practice it. Just so long as they don't try to force it upon other people.

I'm neither for nor against religion. I find this to be the most agreeable path to take in life.

I'm probably number 4. I currently don't have a religion, but I don't think of myself as Atheist.

I don't want to start a debate or anything but for anyone who's interested, check out this link: http://www.islamreligion.com/articles/216/
It explains how there are things written in the Quran that no one could have known at the time of its revelation, thus proving the existence of God.
Yes, I'm a Muslim and I'd say that I fit somewhere between 2 & 3 on the scale. While I don't go to the Mosque very often and have stopped praying regularly, I still think about God every day and try to thank him for the things I have.

Just posting that link will probably start a debate..
No matter what anyone/thing 'predicts', it will never prove the existence of any God.

Yet, I bet if a Christian said "death to atheism" you'd be calling that person an over-religious, ignorant preacher.
I don't know where I fit in that scale exactly, but I'm totally agnostic. I don't discount the possibility of a God-being/force (whether it's a He, She or It), but I don't believe in any modern religion or their interpretations. I just don't dismiss God as "a load of crap" (i.e. atheism)
The closest to a religion I am is probably deism.

After doing some research on this, I'd say I'm (according to the OFFICIAL Richard Dawkins scale) a "Pure Agnostic". The existence or nonexistence of God is equal on both sides of the argument. However, I find that Tim's belief is more related to being a 4 on the Dawkins scale than being unrelated to it.

I'm an atheist, but in a way I put myself in the LaVeyan Satanism category.
"Satanists do not believe in the supernatural, in neither God nor the Devil. To the Satanist, he is his own God. Satan is a symbol of Man living as his prideful, carnal nature dictates. The reality behind Satan is simply the dark evolutionary force of entropy that permeates all of nature and provides the drive for survival and propagation inherent in all living things. Satan is not a conscious entity to be worshipped, rather a reservoir of power inside each human to be tapped at will. Thus any concept of sacrifice is rejected as a Christian aberration—in Satanism there’s no deity to which one can sacrifice."
The morals and philosophy Anton LaVey is kind of like the stuff i think of. I'm big Nietzsche person too. So....yeah.
I don't really care what religion someone is, or even if they don't believe or worship a God. Following a certain religion doesn't make you stupid or you deserve to die. Allot of people are raised a certain religion and that's why they believe what they believe. I don't disrespect that, i disrespect people who speak stupid.

That will likely lead to a debate in which case the evidence you have provided is not sufficient. Here's why: suppose an ancient holy text, about 1000 years old predicts that a thing called an iPod will be popular based on words of a certain deity. The issue here is that it is fact that the holy text said iPods will be popular, however, you need to provide an argument showing that the deity actually said that and not that a person wrote it. If a person wrote it, then the argument is, if the person wrote it, then how does that prove a deity knew of iPods? You then have to make another argument (which is where you're likely to fail) showing somehow the person contacted the deity or somehow knew what the deity said through other means. In other words, you've proven the text says iPods will be popular and that the person wrote that, however, you haven't proven the deity exists.
Suppose the person claims the deity exists, as done in the Bible. How do you verify what they've said? You have to rely 100% on their word without knowing whether their word is correct or incorrect. How do you show that what they predicted can resemble 1000 other things or that it was due to chance? Refer back to the example holy text. If it mentions specifically iPods and iPods are not an inference, how do you show it wasn't due to chance? If they say that a fancy device for sound will be provided in the future, well, that's hardly amazing.
Anyways, on the scale provided by the OP, I'm around a 6-7.

The sad thing is that religion likes to embrace others and (try) to make peace but atheism is against religion and tries to shove it out of the way. I rate myself 11 on your scale because I just don't care enough to actually read past 10 because of how ignorant it was.

Hmmm, I have the lowest number here. I would honestly say that I'm a 2. I win. :D I don't take my faith as far as I should but I know plenty of people who take their faith too far. I'm dissapointed with all the high numbers here although I'm glad no one has decided to pick 10 yet. I guess if you go to this kind of website your bound to get a good amount of people who assume because they don't believe in god that they are smart.

How can these hidden forces that we don't understand be measured and explained? I assume when we don't understand something, that means we cannot explain it, at least not fully.

Well that's just it, a person could not have written these 'predictions' because there was no technology at the time that could have described the stages of an embryo's development for example. The fact that a holy text has accurately described something that science only recently discovered, adds great weight to the existence of God. For only a Divine being responsible for the creation of the Earth and it's inhabitants could have predicted such a thing.
Also the Quran can be traced back to its origin, and found to be untampered or edited by humans.
