Why is high school all about the people you hang out with? I mean at my school the way you become cool is if you dont give a damn about your education and If your looking forward to a happy career in a service station check out. I mean its so dumb why the hell would people want to be like that? I am going into high school and the way I am everyone is telling me Im going to have the living crap beaten out of me in my first term(excuse my language). I just believe that people are idiots if they would throw themselves into a life of terrible jobs and no real money just to be cool for a few years of your life. Anybody got any ideas as to why this is?:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

It doesn't have to be; it never was so for me. I personally made an effort to remain absent from the social scene, only occasionally being noticed for academic standing. Those I associated with were similar. Not necessary because 'I care about my future', but because I enjoy leading a simple and quiet existence at all times.

That said, many do not wish to be this way, because it doesn't seem all too interesting. Young people especially, live in the moment and disregard the long term. That is perfectly fine, as long as one recognizes and accepts the implications of the choices they make.

Becuase people are stupid and think they're gonna get rich by doing nothing and have a good ol' life.
It's gonna be a shock for them when they start looking for a home and realisethat the $50 bucks they got from Grandma for their birthday isn't going to cut it.

Don't worry. When you are living in your mansion and they end up homeless or in a lot of debt, you will be the cool one ;)
