Every year when Valentine's Day rolls around, I'm never involved with anybody. How does it typically work? Do both the girl and guy get the each other something or does just the guy get the girl something? I'm kinda clueless, I know.

Thanks,
Kristen

I am against Valentines day in every way possible. Just like I am with Christmas and birthdays. You should not do something nice for someone simply because of a fucking day. Which is why I didn't get my GF anything for Valentines day. I explained to her my thoughts on it and a few months later I surprised her with flowers and the whole kit and kaboodle. I can tell you she enjoyed it loads more than if she got it from me because I had to do it.

If you wish to fall into the trap of society and all then get him something and he will get you something. How original.

Cheers

Valentines Day is something children did when they were little. Adults hardly ever celebrate it. Now that you are older, don't worry about it, overrated holiday anyways.

Don't feel that you need to be with someone just because it's Valentines Day.

Valentines day for me is usually a day where all the single girls get together and go out and have a good time. Because like you, I'm usually single on valentines day, that time of year I suppose. However, this year, I'm hopefully still going to be in my relationship so going to spend it with the boyfriend. The plan at the minute is, I'm buying him presents, he is buying me one, (far too much like usual probably, hes terrible at it) and then we are going for a meal and then out on a night out together, just me and him, no entourage like usual. Going to be a good weekend.
