HELP! Open Office Header Problem URGENT

So on Open Office(word processer) I'm trying to put headers on the top of each page marking the page numbers. When I type in "Smith 1" all the headers say "Smith 1". How to I make it to that I can type each one in individually?

I have Office 2007. In 2007, create your header then when you get to page two, double click on top of the header and you can manually edit it.

Im not sure how to do it in other versions of office, but hopefully that helps.

The Microsoft Office suite is in no way related to Sun Microsystems' Open Office.
