The clouds roll in
Coming over my head
Darkening the sky
The sun is now dead
Deeper they creep
Thicker they become
Now the rain comes
I’m standing here naked
Waiting for the rain
In the road I will wait
Will it wash the pain?
No one can see me
Even though I’m exposed
My skin is so fair
I don’t want them to care
The rain begins slowly
My hair is only damp
Faster it starts to be
Soaking my body through
My hair lays in wet streaks
For the cold to run to
My muscles are tightening
First my legs go numb
My stomach becomes hard
My back is so rigid now
My arms holding me tight
With the strike of the first bolt
And the sound of the thunder
The protections now releases
I’m vulnerable again
It’s no wonder…
Coming over my head
Darkening the sky
The sun is now dead
Deeper they creep
Thicker they become
Now the rain comes
I’m standing here naked
Waiting for the rain
In the road I will wait
Will it wash the pain?
No one can see me
Even though I’m exposed
My skin is so fair
I don’t want them to care
The rain begins slowly
My hair is only damp
Faster it starts to be
Soaking my body through
My hair lays in wet streaks
For the cold to run to
My muscles are tightening
First my legs go numb
My stomach becomes hard
My back is so rigid now
My arms holding me tight
With the strike of the first bolt
And the sound of the thunder
The protections now releases
I’m vulnerable again
It’s no wonder…
