I'm not sure even though this hasn't happened to me. I would say No.

i don't see the reason a doctor would have for doing that. weird.

CrissCross
January 24th, 2010, 09:41 PM
No thats actually probably something very wrong for a doctor to do. I would tell your parents about it

thatteenguy
January 24th, 2010, 11:19 PM
During a teen male physical, the only thing a doctor should do is ask you to cough. And IF you have foreskin they may ask for you to pull it back, but nothing more than that should be done...

peaceloverugby
January 24th, 2010, 11:36 PM
This is not normal at all. You should tell your parents; if they do nothing, call the police. If this happened to you, I doubt you're the only one.

Ryhanna
January 25th, 2010, 12:02 AM
No, this is not normal for a doctor to do and it is ILLEGAL.
There is absolutley no medical reason for him to measure your penis. Tell your parents, if they don't listen, yes, call the police. It's basically sexual abuse and pedophilia, I believe.

that is absolutely not normal. tell your parents about it

Mr. Smithers
January 25th, 2010, 02:45 AM
That wasn't right for him to do that. A physical has nothing to do with penis size. It might seem embarrassing, but you have to tell your parents, get him reported.

Nelson
January 25th, 2010, 11:14 AM
Ummm, i dont think thats legal, ive never had a check of anyform on my penis (except for a sexual health check and the doctor only looked at it)

obiwan94
January 25th, 2010, 11:31 AM
Would have to agree with above posts...highly suspicious. I go for a yearly physical and never had it measured though he does a pretty thorough check of the area, parent also always stays in the room so I guess they would object if they thought the doctor was doing anything inappropriate.

Patchy
January 25th, 2010, 11:44 AM
Seems strange.

If your UK the doctor may be doing a study into it however he would of had to get permission from your parents since your under 16 and I'm sure he would've told you why he was doing it.

I mean what did he say, I need you get your penis out and measure it erect, I mean did he expect you to wank to get hard or something?

I would most likely speak to your parents about it, if not a councillor at school.

BiBoy13
January 25th, 2010, 11:45 AM
I must say this does sound illegal but as I've never had a physical or similar I wouldnt really know, but i agree with the above

I'm not gonna go into details but let me just say it was sooooooo embarrassing on actually forcing myself to even getting an erection.I'm thinking I just wanna say nothing willl be wayyy less embarrassing. Thanks again everyone peace out

so see if you are growing properly
im not sure about anywhere else but during a physical they check to see if everythig is ok down there and everywhere else in your body

no he definitely doesn't need to measure it. just looking at it soft is enough to detect an eventual problem.

thats weird :what:

I have had this! It was about 7 years ago though and my mum was with me! I had to hve this because I have stomach and bladder issues. They needed to make sure that I was getting better, (which I am not better, even 7 years later lol)

As Patrick said it could be for a study of some sort, or it could just be that he's a pedophile.
Ask your parents if they knew anything about it before doing anything stupid.

If you have to go in again then ask him about it. If not then just leave it - there's no point pursuing it when it hasn't made any difference to your life.

mrbob360
January 31st, 2010, 08:57 AM
erm no it is not normal unless you have asked to check it to if you have a problem doctor will never usally ask you for them to measure ur dick unless ur talking to a pervert/pedo or your talking to a sexual health i.e u might not know what kind of comdom to buy that would be a reason for the doc to look at size but ONLY IF YOU BRING UP A PROBLEM ABOUT down there

so my advice call the police send him to jail for pedo

and what was his facial expression when he measureing ur dick or when u needed to get it up?

doesnt it occur no anyone that he could just be trying to help? I mean I have had done and my parents knew about it! They explained to me that it was because the doctor has to know whats going on with your body (in other words my body) and they are right! You shouldnt have to take him to court or anything like that! he is doing his job, if its in the patients intrest then thats fine! As I said above I was born with only half a stomach and if you dont beleive me then thats fine! I am the one who has to live with the scar accross my stomach that I Absolutly HATE!

I am not saying all this just to say something! If its in the intrest of the patient then that is ok. all the people who say lock him up, etc... why not try to see the side that he is doing his job thats his profesion! Let the doctor do what he has to, just make sure that he doesnt go ove a very fine line!

You must protect patients from risk of harm posed by another colleague's conduct...The safety of patients must come first at all times. If you have concerns that a colleague may not be fit to practise, you must take appropriate steps without delay, so that the concerns are investig

read this bit taken from that website according to the law in both the usa and the UK they have to ask permission to check your sexual parts they ARE NOT ALLOWED to jus say im gunna check ur penis size get it out let go and plus it usally must be done my a sexual health doctor who is trained in that sort of area

The OP doesnt actualy say wheather he asked or wheather he just said "get it out" as you put it

I dont believe there is any normal circumstance under which a doctor would ask or expect to measure a teenager's erection, let alone ask you to wank it in front of him. If the OP is genuine then that doctor needs reporting.

Ryan according to your story your doctor wanted you to get erect and be measured when you were 10. Is that really what you're saying?

NO, what I am saying Nick is that I have had to have a doctor look, feel, etc just to see if I was ok.

Note: If the doctor askes you to wank infront of him thats plain down WRONG!

Thank goodness for that, sorry if I read you wrong but you did seem to be saying you'd had the same experience as the OP. A doctor just talking a look at your equipment (not erect) is normal enough under the right circumstances.

Ryan you have a good point there, it could be for general reasons. Maybe the Op misunderstood what the doctor wanted him to do.

I think those are a bit strong and possibly a harsh reaction to the fact that we haven't been given much information by the OP. The doctor was most probably doing his job and, whilst we should try to advise the OP on what he COULD do, he needs to think about what actually happened and the context in which in incident occured. It is not our job to fire perfectly innocent health professionals.

he said they would need a consent form to sign core ur english cant u read or dont u know the difference between form and from

WOW. All we need. Racism. And for the record - read your first quote again. Have you never heard of punctuation? I would give 6 year olds this as a literacy exercise: "Insert correct commas and full stops."

I'VE TAKEN THE LIBERTY OF CORRECTING IT:
He said they would need a consent form to sign. Core: your English! Can't you read? Or don't you know the difference between 'form' and 'from'?

You don't know that. Why says its bullshit when you haven't trained in it? For all you know there might be something in his file which requires information about his penis growth to be logged. You're not a doctor.

I agree with the above. I went to get testing done on my Apendix (or However U Spell It) and when I was in there some nurse came in and all she did was "Sorry, But I need to check Ur Penis" and she checked all around strectched it out to see if anyting hurt. But the point is, she dident ask me if it was okay.

I think the doctores have the right to ask for measurments AS LONG AS they do nothing elce. Like if they helped u get erect or token it out thats not good. But Im pretty shure its okay just to get the measurments. But of corse, I could be wrong. And yes, when I went to the doctors when I turnt 13, he did measure me, But he did ask first. Soo.. really, just ask your parents about it.
